Emerald Bay Energy to Test Buda and Austin Chalk Formations in Kuhn A5 Well
Emerald Bay Energy Inc. (TSX Venture: EBY) (the “Company” or “Emerald Bay”) is pleased to announce that the Company’s technical team has completed their evaluation of the recently drilled Kuhn A5 well. During the review process, good oil content was identified in the Buda formation samples that were highly fractured. Additionally, the logs confirmed the significant oil shows in two intervals of the Austin Chalk formation that were observed during drilling operations. The Company is now scheduling services to perforate and acidize a 5 foot interval of the Buda and test the well for three days to determine flow rates. After testing the Buda, the Company will move up hole to test a 7 foot interval in the upper Austin Chalk formation for three days. Once testing operations are completed, the Company will put facilities in place to begin production. Further information about testing and initial production results will be forthcoming when available.
