Our Focus

Due to instability in natural gas and electricity prices, Emerald Bay Energy has divested most of its Canadian gas assets and electricity generation project. Since 2010, the Company has focused on and will continue to pursue, oil opportunities in South Texas counties Medina, Bexar, Atascosa, Guadalupe and Gonzales.

In 2019, Emerald Bay is focusing its efforts on its Wooden Horse Kuhn wells, partnership with HugoCellR Ltd., and projects with its subsidiary Production Resources, Inc.


Our History


EBY successfully drills and completes the Kuhn A5 well in the Austin Chalk formation. During swabbing, the well tests at 142 bbl/day of oil. Sells interest in electricity generation project to reduce the Company’s outstanding debt. The Company arranges to settle $924,658.90 of debt to a lender of the Company through the issuance of shares at $0.05/share. EBY enters into a partnership agreement for a new well drilling program in South Texas with HugoCellR Ltd and initiates the first three projects: Floyd 1 and 2 wells, the Bauer lease Wildcat well, and the Isabella 2 well.

EBY increases its interest in Production Resources Inc. (“PRI”) from 10% to 75% and its ownership in the Wooden Horse and Nash Creek projects from 27.78% to 50%. Average daily production rates at PRI increase approximately 15% to 57 bbls/day. EBY completes the MarPat drilling program, completing an additional 8 wells, for a total of 16 at the Somerset field. The Kuhn 4 well at Wooden Horse is tied in and production operations begin.

Production increases 39% in the Taylor-Ina field of Medina County and 27% in the Somerset field of Atascosa County. In Guadalupe County, EBY completes the acquisition of approximately 3000+ acres of land for exploration and development. The lands are divided into 4 core projects: Wooden Horse, Nash Creek, Cottonwood Creek and Holmes Lake. The Company receives a drilling permit to drill the first horizontal well at Wooden Horse – Kuhn 1H.
